My tutorials are only guidelines to help you accomplish a certain creation.

Screen shots are resized and for faster loading. Don't forget to SAVE
your work often.
This tutorial is written in and for PSP Version 7.04 and assumes you
have a good working knowledge of PSP. I am sure this can easily be done
in other versions with a few adjustments.
You will need the following:
Paint Shop Pro 30 Day Free Trial HERE
PSP V8 Demo
This tutorial will not
work with Eye Candy 4000, so I will be attempting to revised this in
the future.
All settings and directions, are for this image. You will
have to make changes if you use a different image, to get a good result.
Left click for Original size to save to your computer.
If you are ready, lets get started...PLEASE REMEMBER TO
SAVE OFTEN
....so you don't lose all your hard work.
1. Open your Waterfall image in PSP
Image/Resize/Pixel HEIGHT 350 "Save As...Waterfall"
Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen
Make sure maintain aspect ratio is checked. Waterfall Blackforest
2. Select your Magic Wand and set Tolerance at 36
Feather 0
Sample Merged...UNCHECKED
Match Mode...RGB Value
Click on Waterfall, starting on the small top portion.
Holding Down your SHIFT KEY, continue clicking on water area,
until you have all areas you want to animate. (Be careful not to get
into rocks on the side, or make your selection too large sideways. Go
more in the length direction, for effect. I was able to select some
in the front pool, that were light purple, to get a sparkle effect in
final animation)

3. DO NOT DESELECT
Selections/Promote to Layer.....Rename "Waterfall 1"
On layer Palette....Duplicate Waterfall 1.....Rename "Waterfall
2"
Again ...Duplicate Waterfall 2.....Rename "Waterfall 3"
4. On Layer Palette TURN OFF ALL LAYERS...EXCEPT WATERFALL 1
Be sure that Waterfall 1 is your Active Layer...see screen shot
5. Top Menu
Effects/Plugins/Eyecandy/Jiggle
Set to RAGGED EDGES
Movement Type...BUBBLES
Bubble Size..........5
Warp.......................5
Twist......................11

6. Turn OFF Waterfall 1
Activate Watefall 2
Effects/Plugins/Eyecandy...Jiggle AGAIN
Change Bubble Size to .....18
Twist........................20
Leaving all other settings the same.
7. Turn OFF Waterfall 2
Activate Waterfall 3
Effects/Plugins/Eyecandy...Jiggle AGAIN
Change ..RAGGED EDGE....to TINY BUBBLES
Bubble Size to....5
Warp......................6
Twist......................6
Select/SELECT NONE

8. Activate Background layer
Select/Select all
Select/Modify/Contract.....8pixels.... INVERT
Add a NEW Raster Layer...name it FRAME
Flood Fill with Color of your choice...I used #415C28
Effects/Noise 25%
Effects/3D Effects/ Inner Bevel/ Frame preset
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
Opacity 60
Blur 8.5
Color Black
Horizontal and Vertical at......2
Repeat Changing ..Horizontal and Vertical at...... -2
DRAG YOUR FRAME LAYER TO THE TOP....of Layer Palette
Add your signature to Background layer.
9. Being sure that all your Waterfall layers are OFF
and that your Background and Frame layers are ON during the animation
steps, we are going to start our "Save As" in PSP Format for
Animation
Shop
If you are not set up to save into Animation Shop with
these preferences, you will need to change them now. See Screen Shot
NOW do your "Save As" ....Call it..."Waterfall Base"
into your folder.
10. On Layer Palette Activate "Waterfall 1", being sure it
is dark
blue (indicating it's active layer)
SAVE AS...."Waterfall Base 1" and TURN OFF LAYER.
11. Activate "Waterfall 2"
SAVE AS.."Waterfall Base 2" and TURN OFF LAYER
12. Activate "Waterfall 3"
SAVE AS.."Waterfall Base 3" and TURN OFF LAYER.
ANIMATION SHOP
1. Open Animation Shop and select Animation Wizard
Check following boxes and continue
Same Size as First Image Frame.......NEXT button
Transparent........NEXT button
Upper Left Corner of the Frame
With the Canvas Color.................NEXT button
Yes, repeat the animation indefinitely
How Long........20........NEXT
Specify Images WINDOW POPUP...
ADD IMAGES.....browse to your folder
Select Waterfall Base....
" " " " Base 1
" " " " Base 2
" " " " Base 3
" " " " Base 2
" " " " Base 1
Click on NEXT
Then on FINISH....Animation Wizard will now load your frames, so that
you can View them.
If you like your animation view....
Go to Top Menu/Files/Save As....Name your animation, and save to folder
of choice.....
Leaving your animation this size will give you 118 + kbs, which usually
falls within groups allowance for posting.
Wizard will Now Optimize your animation...
Continue to click on Windows checking
Quality...Better Image Quality...Max it to Top on lever indicator.
Next
Next.......and you're finished.
I really hope you have enjoyed doing this tutorial as much as I did

Here is another example that I made. I had to adjust my
settings in Eyecandy, and even had to lower the opacity on one of the
layers, due to dark spots from the selection. So just play with your
waterfall animation until you like what you see in your view in Animation
Shop. There are so many possibilities, and this tutorial is a starting
place and guide, for you.....*S*
