Bunny Animated Tag

I wrote this tutorial after numerous request from friends that had seen my tag.....*S*
It requires a good working knowledge of PSP and Animations Shop.

We will be using only PSP7 and Animation Shop.

My tutorials are only guidelines to help you accomplish a certain creation. Please feel free to be inventive and take whatever liberties you would like. I hope each of you enjoy this tutorial. Your finished creation is yours to do with as you please.

Screen shots are resized and for faster loading. Don't forget to SAVE your work often.

This tutorial is written in and for PSP Version 7.04 and assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP and Animation Shop. I am sure this can easily be done in Version 6 with a few adjustments.

I have provided the Eye Lids in a tube for this tutorial, and have done so mainly for those that have disabilities or trouble with precise work. As the eye lashes have to be included with the eye lids and is a very important part of this image. If you choose to not to use my tubes, but create your own, please consider this with your selections.

Supplies you will need:

Jasc Paint Shop Pro HERE PSP V8 Demo

Zip of Supplies HERE Place in your Tutorial Folder.

If you are ready now lets get started playing in PSP.....*S*
I always use my Precise Cursor, and Zoom when ever necessary
And PLEASE remember to SAVE OFTEN....

Round
Size 3
Hardness 11

Paint in Color to give the eyes a nice round shape at the bottom
(I use Precise Cursor and in detailed areas use single click until
you get the roundness. Zoom In is also very helpful here.)
See Screen Shot Below:

7. Activate EYES layer.
Add a new raster layer....Name it "Pupils".
With your Preset Shapes Tool:
Select Ellipse....Background BLACK....Foreground...NULL
Draw out a pupil shape in the Left White visible area, keep it small
so your bunny doesn't look buggy eyed.

Duplicate the Pupil layer and with Mover tool, place in Right Eye
White area. If you loose connection with the Pupil when you are

you where your pupil is....LOL

Zoom in so you and see good.
Select just the dark line of the Mouth area, and staying away from the
flower and nose line. See Screen Shot Below:

Edit/Copy
Select/Select None
Edit/Paste as New Layer.......Rename "Smile"
Image/Flip and move into position. You may have to do a little repair work here....I did.....Use your Paint Brush to add color over any unwanted lines or pixels, using your eye dropper to select the color for that area. I also added a little width to the smile on the Left and Right side. Using my paint brush.

Now is also a good time to check the position on your Eye Lids, by activating each layer to check the placement.
Well I think we have enough movement now, so let's set our background and all the personal touches you want. I wanted to use it as a Tag for Kudo's so I added another layer on the Top of Layer Palette for "SO PRETTY", with my Text tool and choosing a darker pink for color. Plus an inner bevel for depth.
Now we can Delete the Original "BUNNY" layer.
(I leave it there, just incase I make an error when manipulating my
tube and need the ORIGINAL in the same position. It's a good habit
to get into, so you don't have to start all over from the beginning.)

10. Add a New Raster Layer at the bottom of your layer palette.
Flood Fill with your color choice for background...I used FEDEE7
I sat her on grass..using the "Lawn tube in PSP"
To frame it I activated the bottom layer....Select/Select All
Selections/Modify/Contract by 10
Selection/Invert
Added a New Raster Layer at the Top of my Layer Palette.
Name it Frame......and Flood Filled with Color....A6717C
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel...Pillow Preset.
Now on to the Animation.

First we want the Bunny in her original position, so on the Layer Palette TURN OFF
Smile Layer
Nose Move Layer
If you put Kudo's on your tag and don't want them to show yet, TURN then OFF...now..... I did.
Our First "Save As" in PSP Format.
1. Save as..."Bunny Tag BASE" to your folder of choice.
This is a good step to do, so if you want to change anything later
or start over, everything is Saved in Layers.

2. Now lets Save As...AGAIN....as "Bunny 1"

3. Let's wiggle the nose first.
Activate Nose Move Layer and Save As.."Bunny 2"

4. Turn OFF Nose Move Layer, and with your Mover tool, slide the
RIGHT and LEFT Eye Lids up just a little..and Save As "Bunny 3"

5. Turn Nose Move Layer BACK ON, and raise both Eye LIds up
AGAIN, at least half way, and Save As..."Bunny 4"

6. Turn Nose Layer OFF again.
With Mover tool slide the Eye Lids, all the way up, still showing
the Eye Lashes.
TURN ON....the Smile Layer
TURN ON your Kudo's layer....and Save As "Bunny 5"

Open Jasc Animation Shop

Select F:5 Frame 5, " " " " " " " "100

To check your animation and view it, click on the top Menu View Button, See Screen Shot Above:

If you are happy with the results lets Do our "SAVE AS"
With the Animation this size it carried 59kbs, but is 366X278, which is over most groups posts size limits, so we will resize our Animation.
Go to the top Menu/Animation/ResizeAnimation
Select Percentage Box and type in 75%....this is 274X208...40kbs
Now to the the Top Menu again
"File/Save As"....Name your Animation and save to your Tag
Folder, or folder of your choice.

Congratulations, you now have a new Tag,
and I hope you enjoy it.....*S*
